The sixth annual Tiger Jam, held last weekend at the Mandalay Bay Events Centre, was a tremendous success and raised $1.5 million for the Tiger Woods Foundation.

This year the audience of VIP’s and celebrities was entertained by rock group, Van Halen.
Tiger introduced the group, “Please welcome one of the greatest rock bands in history, Van Halen”.

Although on crutches this year following recent knee surgery, Tiger, the most eloquent host, mingled with his guests throughout the evening. The guest list was once again impressive including; Dwayne Wade, Alonzo Mourning, and Julius Erving of NBA fame. NFL star Marcus Allen and figure skating star Krisi Yamaguchi were also in attendance.

The live auctio items included; a signed guitar from Eddie Van Halen, tickets to the Police concert in L.A., a Diamond Rose necklace, and a four night stay at the Cayo Espanto resort in the Carribean.

Since its inception in 1998, Tiger Jam has raised over $12 million dollars for the Tiger Woods Foundation.

The Tiger Woods Foundation was developed by Tiger and his father, Earl in 1996. Since then the Foundation has provided character development, career exploration, scholarships, and grant making programs and has touched the lives of an estimated 10 million young people.

The mission of the Tiger Woods Foundation is to empower young people to dream big and to set specific goals to achive their dreams.

The Tiger Woods Foundation recently launched the Fist Pump Challenge, an online program allowing young people to post videos celebrating a personal goal or achievement. More information on the Tiger Woods Foundation and its programs can be found at www.tigerwoodsfoundation.org.
